Children Are:
In modern times, the Montessori method remains as relevant and effective as ever. In an era where standardized testing and rigid curriculums dominate education, Montessori schools offer a refreshing alternative. The benefits of this approach are numerous: children develop strong problem-solving skills, independence, and a deep love of learning. Montessori classrooms are designed to encourage hands-on learning, collaboration, and creativity, providing a nurturing environment where children can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
The results of a Montessori education are evident in the success stories of its alumni. Notable figures such as Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, and renowned chef Julia Child all credit their Montessori education with fostering their creativity and independent thinking. These examples highlight the profound impact that the Montessori method can have on shaping innovative, self-motivated, and successful individuals.
In essence, Montessori education is about more than just academics. It’s about preparing children for life. By focusing on the whole child and fostering a love for learning, Montessori schools create lifelong learners who are equipped to navigate the complexities of the modern world. At Nature’s Way International Montessori, we are proud to carry forward Dr. Maria Montessori’s legacy, providing an environment where every child can flourish and reach their full potential.
We believe that learning comes from within the child rather than being forced upon them by a central authority and that socialization is a natural outcome of self-respect. Montessori materials that guide children through their natural developmental stages will be exclusively used at our school, incorporated with the carefully selected curriculum. This will be a matchless combination for our children to grow up to be good human beings.
Each child is allowed to pursue his or her interests by choosing from the wide variety of carefully presented materials. You will notice many activities and busy children working simultaneously. In the classroom we have a ”freedom with limits” approach. Teachers observe the children and present individual lessons as necessary. Children are allowed to follow their curiosity and use the materials that can are ”auto didactic” (self teaching) lessons they need to learn.
