Nature’s Way International Montessori
Montessori schools offer a refreshing alternative. The benefits of this approach are numerous: students develop strong problem-solving skills, independence, and a deep love of learning. Montessori classrooms are designed to encourage hands-on learning, collaboration, and creativity, providing a nurturing environment where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
In essence, Montessori education is about more than just academics. It’s about preparing students for life. By focusing on the whole student and fostering a love for learning, Montessori schools create lifelong learners who are equipped to navigate the complexities of the modern world. At Nature’s Way International Montessori School, we are proud to carry forward Dr. Maria Montessori’s legacy, providing an environment where every student can flourish and reach their full potential.
Using the Montessori method at Nature’s Way International Montessori School our students are:
Able to feel safe and happy.
Gain independence and self-confidence.
Learning through using their senses and material.
Encouraged to develop curiosity.
Focused and interested in their work.
Able to have free choice in a prepared environment.
Learn from the concrete to the abstract.
Responsible for their own actions.
Working at their own pace.
Introduced individually to the next stage of work.
Building concentration while engaged in practical life activities.
Becoming masters of their environment.
Able to reach abstraction through repetition.
We believe that learning comes from within the student rather than being forced upon them by a central authority and that socialization is a natural outcome of self-respect. Montessori materials that guide students through their natural developmental stages will be exclusively used at our school, incorporated with the carefully selected curriculum.
Each students is allowed to pursue his or her interests by choosing from the wide variety of carefully presented materials. You will notice many activities and busy students working simultaneously. In the classroom we have a ”freedom with limits” approach. Teachers observe students and present individual lessons as necessary. Students are allowed to follow their curiosity and use the materials that are ”auto didactic” (self teaching) lessons they need to learn. This strengthens both self esteem and confidence which are key attributes to obtain as our students navigate their journey through life.
